Nuno Espirito Santo has delivered a huge Nottingham Forest fitness boost ahead of tomorrow night’s clash against Arsenal.

The head coach has been speaking with Nottinghamshire Live.

So, what has the boss had to say about a trio of injured Forest players? Let’s take a closer look…

Nuno Espirito Santo on injured Forest trio

Well, there is finally some good news on the injury front and now the team announcement looks very intriguing for tomorrow night.

Anthony Elanga, Taiwo Awoniyi and Felipe have now all returned to training, with the three players all at different stages of their recovery.

Forest desperately need some bodies back and on Friday against Bristol City, it looked as though some players were running on empty.

Now, Espirito Santo has suggested that he’s got some big decisions to make ahead of the Forest clash with Arsenal.

He told Nottinghamshire Live: “The players that were out have joined the group.

“Even though they are not 100 per cent, we have decided to have them around in the case of Anthony, Taiwo and Felipe.

“We decided as a group to bring them back in and now we have to decide.”

Forest would welcome options for Arsenal clash

With six players at the African Cup of Nations, the Forest squad has been left decimated somewhat with some injures.

Having Elanga and Awoniyi missing has been a major blow, with Felipe only playing two games all season for Forest.

It would be a major plus to Espirito Santo if both Awoniyi and Elanga could make the Forest squad tomorrow night in some capacity against Arsenal.

Elanga in particular has been brilliant this season, claiming six assists and scoring four goals since signing from Manchester United.

Forest do face a tough task to beat Arsenal given their lofty league position but having star players back could help.
