Nottingham Forest take on Arsenal at the City Ground tonight and ahead of the game we’ve taken a look at a predicted team.

The Reds are back on home soil in the Premier League for the first time in 2024.

Nuno Espirito Santo will look to get back to winning ways after losing to Brentford last time out in the league.

The Forest rearguard

Much has been said about the goalkeeping situation at the City Ground, with Espirito Santo now considering a new custodian.

For tonight, however, it would appear that Matt Turner will keep his place between the posts.

Across the back four, we don’t envisage much change at all.

One change will be enforced, with Nuno Tavares ineligible to play against his parent club.

Harry Toffolo will come in for the Portuguese player and start he contest at left-back.

Gonzalo Montiel, Andrew Omobamidele and Murillo will all keep their places in the team.

The Forest engine room

With Espirito Santo favouring a 4-2-3-1 system, Espirito Santo will have to choose between two of four midfielders tonight.

We think that Orel Mangala, linked with Lyon, and Ryan Yates will get the nod to start the game.

That will likely leave Nicolas Dominguez and Danilo to bring competition from the bench.

Leading the Forest line

Forest could likely welcome back Morgan Gibbs-White into the team tonight following an injury to his abdomen.

There could also be a return to action for Anthony Elanga and given he’s back in training, we believe Espirito Santo will start him.

Elsewhere, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Chris Wood should keep their places on the left and as the main striker respectively.

Elsewhere, Taiwo Awoniyi could return to the bench for Forest against Arsenal.
