Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi has just posted a response on Instagram amid claims he’s put on weight.
The striker has responded on social media after some pictures did the rounds on Monday.
So, what has been said about Forest striker Awoniyi, and how has he responded? Let’s take a closer look…
What Taiwo Awoniyi has said on Instagram after harsh claims
Well, it would appear as though Awoniyi isn’t happy after he was snapped in Forest training.
After Nuno Espirito Santo gave a positive update on his fitness, some photos showed him hard at work in training.
One photo, in particular, appeared to show Awoniyi looking a little bit portly following a spell on the treatment table.

Given it was a cold day in Nottingham at the Forest training ground, it would appear that several layers had done the dirty on Awoniyi.
Earlier today the player took to Instagram to clear up the confusion over the photo.
He stripped off his top half to reveal a shredded torso and showed no signs of any excess weight.
In fairness, Awoniyi has taken it in good jest and he shouldn’t have had to prove himself to anyone anyway.
Awoniyi can be so important for remainder of 2023/24
The 27-year-old has been sorely missed since picking up his groin injury in November and it’ll be great to have him back.
Although Chris Wood has stepped up in his absence, Awoniyi is a different sort of striker.
The Nigerian brings a level of physicality to the ranks that Forest misses when Awoniyi doesn’t play.
As a result, it will be great for Espirito Santo to have another option to play through the middle as the central striker.
Keeping Awoniyi fit is going to be massive for Forest as the club bids to stay in the Premier League for a second successive season.
