Lucy Ward spotted something that Nuno Espirito Santo was caught doing after Arsenal opened the scoring against Nottingham Forest last night.

The co-commentating was analysing the game on TNT Sports.

So, what did Ward have to say about Nuno and what did she spot him doing after Gabriel Jesus had scored for Arsenal? Let’s take a closer look…

Lucy Ward spots what Nuno Espirito Santo did after Forest conceded first goal

Well, it would appear as though the Forest head coach was absolutely raging that his team conceded another very preventable goal.

The deadlock was broken on 65 minutes when Matt Turner somehow allowed a tame Gabriel Jesus shot to squirm in.

Up to that point, Forest had defended pretty well and were competing in the game against a team who might well be crowned champions in May.

Espirito Santo wasn’t happy on the sidelines and Ward spotted what the Forest head coach did after the goal by Jesus.

She told TNT Sports: “Nuno shook his head then because they have actually defended very, very well Forest. He’s still shaking his head now because he considers that to be an easy goal.”

Given that Espirito Santo used to play in goal, it must be seriously infuriating that Forest continue to give soft goals away.

As a result, it’s no surprise to hear Fabrizio Romano say this morning that the club are keen to sign another custodian before tomorrow’s deadline.

Forest head coach right to be angry at goalkeeping situation

Whoever at the football club sanctioned the signing of Matt Turner as the club’s number one simply shouldn’t be allowed to choose another player.

Espirito Santo must be wondering what he’s walked into at Forest with the current crop of goalkeepers at his disposal.

This isn’t a situation where Turner is making a few mistakes, he’s making lots and consistently with each passing week.

It’s good to hear that Forest are now going full steam ahead for a new goalkeeper and hopefully, things can look rosier on that front before the transfer deadline.

Espirito Santo must be at breaking point with Forest goalkeeper Turner – and even Odysseas Vlachodimos – and the only option now looks like to land a new one.
