Nottingham Forest are trying to sign Ajax striker Chuba Akpom before the transfer window closes tonight.
This news comes from Fabrizio Romano.
So, what is the latest involving Forest and their interest in Akpom? Let’s take a closer look at this link…
Nottingham Forest want Ajax striker Chuba Akpom
Well, it would appear as though Forest are trying to get another striker over the line with just hours of the deadline remaining.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Akpom is one name that is now being mentioned as a possible target for Forest.
He believes that Forest are trying to sign one more player to go with the additions of Matz Sels, Gio Reyna and Rodrigo Ribeiro.

The Reds have Taiwo Awoniyi and Chris Wood as their two centre-forwards at the moment, with Ribeiro to add competition.
Who is Chuba Akpom?
The 28-year-old striker signed for Ajax in the summer for £12 million after an impressive time of things with Middlesbrough.
In the Championship with the North East outfit, he scored 34 goals in 82 appearances and helped the team reach the play-offs.
His move to Ajax has gone pretty well and he’s scored nine goals in 20 appearances during 2023/24.
Akpom has been on loan with several EFL clubs after coming through the academy ranks at Arsenal.
The striker actually spent time on loan with Forest in 2015 but failed to find the net in seven appearances for the club.
Rumour rating: 4/10 – Forest just can’t help themselves!
Everything on the transfer front just seems to be reactive rather than pro-active and the club are at it again on deadline day.
In our view, Forest simply don’t need another centre-forward and signing Akpom makes very little sense.
Okay, he’s had a fruitful couple of years but ultimately, this just doesn’t feel like an exciting signing to us.
