Nottingham Forest asked about Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale as the club tries to strengthen between the posts.

This news comes from The Athletic.

So, what has been said about Forest and the interest in Ramsdale? Let’s take a closer look…

Nottingham Forest asked about Aaron Ramsdale

Well, it would appear as though Forest are leaving no stone unturned in the quest to sign a new goalkeeper today.

Ramsdale was at the City Ground on Tuesday night, providing cover on the bench for David Ray as Arsenal beat Forest 2-1.

Now, according to Dan Taylor from The Athletic, it’s been claimed that Forest asked about the England goalkeeper.

It would appear that it’s a bit of a non-starter given that Mikel Arteta wants to keep both of his goalkeepers at the club.

Ramsdale was added to the Arsenal ranks from Sheffield United for £30 million back in 2021.

Before this season he had established himself as the number-one goalkeeper, making 88 appearances for the Gunners.

Ramsdale would be dream deadline day signing

It’s fair to say that this one is extremely unlikely – and probably impossible to complete.

Arsenal are fighting for the Premier League title and Champions League this season and two good goalkeepers are a must for Arteta.

Forest need to get something over the line before tonight’s deadline and Ramsdale would be the absolute dream.

David Seaman is a huge fan of Ramsdale and last year he called the 25-year-old ‘phenomenal’ for his efforts between the posts.

Forest have flexed their ambition by even asking about Ramsdale and it’s fair to say that the goalkeeping situation is growing perilous.

In our view, it’s impossible to predict who Forest will end up with today – but we’re completely convinced that it won’t be Ramsdale.
