TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher has been raving about Murillo after Nottingham Forest drew with Bournemouth at the weekend.
The Forest-supporting broadcaster was speaking on the Forest Focus podcast.
So, what has Fletcher said about Forest defender Murillo? Let’s take a closer look…
What Darren Fletcher has said about Forest star Murillo
Well, it would certainly seem as though Fletcher is a very big fan of the Brazilian defender.
The 21-year-old has played every game for Forest since starting against Brentford back in October and making his debut.
With Willy Boly and Moussa Niakhate at the African Cup of Nations more recently, Murillo has had to keep playing.

He’s done so with amicable confidence and having signed from Corinthians, it’s fair to say that Fletcher is impressed with the youngster.
Speaking on Murillo, Fletcher told the Forest Focus podcast: “What I would say is you can make a genuine case now that he’s Forest’s best player already. In terms of consistent performances and the little wow factor moments in the games. There are players out there who are good value for money if your scouting and your recruitment is good enough.”
Reds have hit the jackpot with Murillo
To say Forest parted with around £10 million to sign Murillo, it’s fair to say the club has done exceptionally well.
Intriguingly, Manchester City were looking at Murillo before he chose Forest and it’s easy to see why.
The player has made 20 appearances for Forest – and it’s absolutely no surprise that Fletcher has praised the defender.
He’s a star performer for Forest this season and the hope will be that he can help the Reds claim enough points to stave off the threat of relegation.
Murillo has proved himself in men’s football in a tough league this season and as a result, Forest might struggle to hold onto him for too long.
