The experienced defender would dearly love to be out there playing alongside Murillo – but injury has robbed his season so far.
Felipe was instrumental as Forest survived relegation during 2022/23 but he’s been unable to get going this time around.
That has helped Murillo get an opportunity in the team and he’s grasped it with both hands recently.
The 21-year-old has been in fine form and after Forest shared some stats, Felipe simply posted on Instagram the word, ‘Phenomenon’.
Murillo has been in the team since surprisingly being handed his debut by Forest in October against Brentford.
The left-sided player has showcased a wonderful passing radar and nobody has been able to oust him from the team.
Forest must protect defender at all costs
At 21, the central defender could go to the very top and he’s already showcasing his quality in the Premier League.
No central defender has produced as many successful dribbles, according to Who Scored and that is quite remarkable.
Murillo has kept some good players out of the team and Manchester City wanted him before he signed for Forest.
Clearly, a player who has enjoyed the career that Felipe has enjoyed is a big fan and that level of praise should go a long way.
Murillo needs protecting by Forest and the hope will be that he can keep improving as the season progresses and becomes an integral player over the next few years.
