Steve Hodge praised Callum Hudson-Odoi during a 3-2 defeat to Newcastle for Nottingham Forest.

Well, he’s been praised for his efforts by Hodge and in fairness, Hudson-Odoi was brilliant for Forest yesterday.
The 23-year-old has been striving for consistency since he signed for Forest for £3 million and at the moment he’s playing well.
Hudson-Odoi claimed the goal for the equaliser that saw Forest go in level at the break.
Hodge was extremely impressed with Hudson-Odoi and raved about him live on air.
He told BBC Radio Nottingham: “He deserved it did Forest man Hudson-Odoi. It’s been a great first half of football and that was absolutely brilliant.”
The player scored with a speculative effort just before half-time and at that point Forest had real belief they could win the match.

After a slow start to life in Nottingham, things look to be on the up for Hudson-Odoi.
He was brilliant in parts yesterday and although his goal took a deflection, it was no more than he deserved.
On another afternoon, Hudson-Odoi might have registered more goals or assists but he had to settle for one on this occasion.
Hudson-Odoi only cost the Reds £3 million and he looks like a steal at that price, with no element of risk in the deal.
Forest will improve as the business end of the season approaches and hopefully, Hudson-Odoi can stay in this sort of form.
Injuries have basically made Hudson-Odoi a different player and that’s likely the reason why Forest got him so cheap.
However, Nuno Espirito Santo is getting a tune out of him and long may his current form continue for the Reds.
