Well, Mansfield winning at home wasn’t a turn-up for the books but the staggering scoreline certainly was.

Forest academy graduate Swan has kicked on recently and last night he was among the goals, despite losing his place in the starting eleven.

Swan was introduced at half-time with the score 5-0 and in the second 45, he helped himself to a couple of goals.

Nigel Clough looks like a pretty good manager for Swan at this stage of his career as the player looks to find a home.

Swan has now scored four times in his last four appearances and after a tough start to this season, he’s showcasing his credentials.

The talented youngster needed to leave Forest to better himself and Swan has definitely done that.

Under the wing of Clough, he looks confident and appears to be a player with a knack for putting the ball in the net.

Last season, he scored 11 goals for the Stags as they narrowly missed out on the play-offs and Clough was keen to take him back to Mansfield.

Swan was allowed to leave Forest permanently in the summer and joined the Stags permanently after just two first-team outings at the City Ground.

It’s always great to see academy graduates do well after leaving Forest but the fact Swan is trying to help Clough win another promotion makes this one extra special.

The Stags are well on course to finally reach League One this season.

With Swan starting to catch fire after leaving Forest in the summer, it looks like an exciting time to be a Mansfield fan.
