The wife of Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner has been explaining that one of her husband’s teammates recently gave her a broken nose!

So, what has the wife of Forest goalkeeper Turner had to say about her current break? Let’s take a closer look…

Wife of Forest star Matt Turner says Reds star broke her nose

Well, in an industry that is always so serious, this story does have a bit of a comical side to things too.

The wife of Forest goalkeeper Turner, Ashley Herron is a former NFL cheerleader and she was on the wrong end of some wayward shooting practice when she came to watch her hubby.

She’s explained that Gonzalo Montiel hit a shot during the warm-up that clocked her square in the face and broke her nose.

Herron explained live on TalkSPORT: “I’ve got a broken nose right now because I went to a game and got hit in the nose.

“It happened during the warm-up. It was Gonzalo Montiel. I don’t think it’s glitz and glamour.”

Turner faces fight for City Ground place

This one must have come keen for Turner’s wife – although having seen Forest defender Montiel’s wayward shooting, it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise!

Turner will be hurting right now too. He’s lost his place in the Forest team to Matz Sels, who checked in from Strasbourg during the summer.

It proved a case of one error too many for Turner at Forest and Nuno Espirito Santo had to make the change between the posts.

Now, it remains to be seen if Turner will get any other chances at Forest this season.

Sels played against Bournemouth and last weekend against Newcastle, with the Belgian now looking like the number one.

Turner will hope that the forthcoming game against Manchester United in the FA Cup can perhaps provide him with another Forest opportunity.
