Ashley Williams has given his verdict on the goal that Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi scored against West Ham United at the City Ground.
The former Everton defender and BBC Sport pundit was impressed by the goal from Awoniyi.
So, what has Ashley Williams said about Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi? Let’s take a look.
Praise for Taiwo Awoniyi for Nottingham Forest vs West Ham United
Well, Nottingham Forest won 2-0 against West Ham United at the City Ground in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Taiwo Awoniyi scored the first goal for Forest in the fifth minute of first-half injury time. Nicolás Domínguez provided the assist.

Callum Hudson-Odoi made it 2-0 to the home team in the fourth minute of injury time in the second period. Anthony Elanga gave the assist.
The Hammers were reduced to 71 minutes when Kalvin Phillips, signed on loan from Manchester City in the January transfer window, was sent off.
Ashley Williams was following the match for BBC Sport, and the pundit was impressed by the way that the £17.5 million (Sky Sports) Awoniyi took his goal.
Williams said on Final Score on BBC One: “Watching it back it is a good finish from Taiwo Awoniyi. He has a good touch and on the half turn he slots it away – West Ham will be disappointed.”
My View: Big win for Nottingham Forest
I expected Nottingham Forest to win. On these pages, I backed Nuno’s side to eke out a narrow victory over West Ham United.
And, as it turned out, Forest got the better of West Ham 2-0 at the City Ground in the Premier League.
It is a big win for the Reds. The three points mean that Forest’s chances of escaping the dreaded drop to the Championship have increased.
Forest are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with 24 points from 25 matches.
Nuno’s side are now five points above the relegation zone. They will next face Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League next weekend.
