From a Nottingham Forest point of view, it was absolutely brilliant to see Felipe back in the starting eleven yesterday.
He made his first appearance of 2024 and after the game, Renan Lodi and Murillo sent him messages on Instagram.
So, what was said about Felipe after a rare Forest outing for the experienced defender? Let’s take a closer look…
Murillo and Renan Lodi react after Felipe helps Forest win
Well, it would appear as though everyone is happy to see the solid defender back in the picture.
It’s been a frustrating campaign for the experienced player but he did well against West Ham.
Felipe has struggled with injuries this season and it took some time for the Forest man to settle into this one.

Once he did, however, he was at his brilliant best and he helped Forest claim an important clean sheet.
After the game, he received praise on Instagram from former Reds star Renan Lodi and Murillo.
Lodi called Felipe a ‘general’, whilst Murillo simply said, ‘I’m your fan’.
Felipe hasn’t played much at all this season and it’s fair to say Forest do look a better side when he’s in it.
Forest will hope defender can now stay fit
The 34-year-old was integral last season as Forest defied the odds to remain in the Premier League.
A capable defender, Forest plucked the defender from Atletico Madrid and he penned an 18-month contract.
It has to be said that Felipe is badly needed by Forest with the Brazilian offering something that other defenders don’t.
He’s strong in the air, good with his feet and simply loves to put a tackle in.
Alongside Murillo, he provided real presence yesterday and in our view, if Felipe can stay fit, Forest will stay up at a canter this season.
