Shay Given picked out Nicolas Dominguez for praise as Nottingham Forest defeated West Ham 2-0 at the City Ground.
The pundit was a guest on Match of the Day last night.
So, what did the former Premier League goalkeeper have to say about Dominguez after the Forest win? Let’s take a closer look…
What Shay Given said about Forest star Nicolas Dominguez
Well, it was certainly an afternoon where the Argentinean deserved every bit of praise that was thrown in his direction.
He claimed an assist for Taiwo Awoniyi to score on the stroke of half-time and was impressive throughout the game.
Given felt his pass for the first Forest goal was quality and he raved about it after the game.

He told Match of the Day: “We look at this pass here from Dominguez, that’s got to be the pass of the day. It’s a great finish from Awoniyi and we talk about how important he is but it’s a really good ball from Dominguez.
In our view, Dominguez has really kicked on at Forest under Nuno Espirito Santo and he’s only failed to start in two Premier League games since the new boss came in.
Regular football hadn’t been forthcoming under Steve Cooper but under the new head coach, he’s been viewed as an important player.
Midfielder was impressive during Forest win
Think Ryan Yates with more ability with the ball at his feet and you’ve got yourself Forest midfielder Dominguez.
Nothing against Yates but the 25-year-old simply moves the ball quicker and yesterday he proved massively important.
Who Scored showed that Dominguez completed 93.5% of his passes yesterday and won six tackles – the most of any player on the pitch.
He’s a player that is proving an absolute bargain at £8 million and hopefully, his rich vein of form can continue.
