Chris Sutton has predicted how Nuno’s Nottingham Forest will fare against Unai Emery’s Aston Villa at Villa Park this weekend.

The former Villa striker and BBC Sport pundit has predicted two goals in the match on Saturday.

So, what has Chris Sutton said about Aston Villa against Nottingham Forest? Let’s take a look.

Aston Villa backed to beat Nottingham Forest

Well, Nottingham Forest will take on Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Forest are 16th in the Premier League table with 24 points from 25 matches, just four points above the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Villa currently find themselves fourth in the league table with 49 points from 25 games, 11 points behind leaders Liverpool and two points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in fifth.

Former Villa striker Chris Sutton has backed the Villans to win, and so has ex-Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe.

Sutton told BBC Sport: “Both of these teams won last weekend, and it feels like Nottingham Forest have picked up a bit even if their results have not always reflected their improvement.

“Villa’s brilliant home form has dropped off – they have lost their past three games there in all competitions – but that is only a blip. Ollie Watkins is back in form and they should return to winning ways on Saturday.

“Sutton’s prediction: 2-0

“Jermain’s prediction: 3-1.”

My View: Nottingham Forest will win vs Aston Villa

In my opinion, Nottingham Forest will win against Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Yes, I admit that Villa have the better team and are at home, but that does not mean that Forest are the underdogs.

Forest have some very good players, and I think that Nuno’s team will get the job done at Villa Park.

The Reds beat West Ham United 2-0 at the City Ground in the Premier League last weekend.

Confidence in the Forest camp is high, and I think that they will eke out a narrow win at Villa Park.
