Ian Wright has explained that he’s been shocked by the kind of errors that Nottingham Forest are making in matches.

The pundit has been speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast.

So, what has shocked Wright about Forest in their recent performances? Let’s take a closer look…

Ian Wright shocked by one aspect of Nottingham Forest

Well, it’s fair to say that the pundit has been left pretty surprised by something that Forest continue to do.

The Reds are now 17th in the Premier League after Everton were handed four of their deducted 10 points back.

Forest face a possible deduction themselves and ultimately a run of wins is badly required for Nuno Espirito Santo.

Wright has now shared what shocked him about Forest during their 4-2 defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend.

He told the Wrighty’s House Podcast: “You look at Forest and in certain games, they look very clinical, very aggressive, very focused and you think that’s the least they are going to be able to keep, especially away from home because you can wait and bide your time.

“But they just make so many mistakes, they get it wrong in attack because of some of the final passes and then all of a sudden bam and you’re 3-0 down. It’s like what just happened.”

Wright makes very good point

The costly thing from a Forest perspective is that they’re running out of a margin for error between them and the relegation zone.

Forest are now just a place above the drop zone and ultimately the Reds need wins quickly.

Beating West Ham was supposed to be the start of a run but Villa handed a strong dose of reality at the weekend.

Wright is spot on when it comes to Forest and the errors that are being made on a weekly basis.

With Nuno Espirito Santo experiencing the same issues defensively that Steve Cooper did, something has to change at the back.

It’s going to be a bit of a quandary for the head coach in the coming weeks but Forest have to stop making stupid mistakes.
