Nottingham Forest tried to sign Stade Brestois goalkeeper Marco Bizot during the January transfer window – but the club rejected the offer.
This news comes from Voetbal Primeur.
So, what is the word regarding Forest and their interest in Bizot? Let’s take a closer look…
Nottingham Forest had offer rejected for Marco Bizot
Well, it was no secret that the Reds wanted to sign another goalkeeper during the January transfer window.
The club ended up signing Matz Sels during the window, with Matt Turner and Odysseas Vlachodimos failing to convince Nuno Espirito Santo.
Forest made an offer to Stade Brestois for the player and he’s now been speaking about the failed move to the City Ground.

He told Voetbal Primeur: “That was very serious. Nottingham has made an official offer to Brest. If the club had accepted it, I would now be in England, but the offer was absolutely rejected.
“It was very logical as it was all last minute. We will see what happens during the summer.”
Who is Marco Bizot?
The 32-year-old has been with Stade Brestois since 2021 when he checked in from AZ Alkmaar.
He’s also played for Genk and Groningen after rising through the youth academy with Dutch giants Ajax.
The Dutch performer has kept just three clean sheets during the current Ligue 1 campaign and he was on the Forest radar.
In our view, this would have been a pretty silly signing given that he’s now 32 and hopefully, Forest will push to sign a better goalkeeper this summer.
Bizot might have been a short-term fix for the Reds as they bid to sign an upgrade on Turner and Vlachodimos.
The player was clearly open to a move to the City Ground but it does feel somewhat unlikely that Forest will pursue this one again.
