Michael Brown has given his verdict on Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

The former Manchester City and BBC Sport pundit has included Gibbs-White in his underrated XI of the Premier League season so far.

So, what has Michael Brown said about Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White? Let’s take a look.

Michael Brown praises Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White

Well, Michael Brown has been speaking about Morgan Gibbs-White, and he has been hugely impressed with the Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder.

The former Manchester City midfielder has included Gibbs-White in his underrated XI of the Premier League season so far.

The BBC Sport pundit has noted how well Gibbs-White has been playing for Forest this season and has praised the 24-year-old Englishman for the way he has developed since moving to the City Ground in a £25 million (SkySports) deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2022.

Gibbs-White has scored three goals and given four assists in 23 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premer League this season. Nuno worked with him at Wolves.

Brown told BBC Sport about Gibbs-White: “He had Nuno Espirito Santo as his manager at Wolves, but he wasn’t really involved so he took a loan out to Sheffield United, which was a really impressive loan.

“He scored goals, he was dynamic and he got into key positions – and then all of a sudden every club wanted to take him! And he said: ‘You know what? I’m going to go to Forest.’ And they took a chance on him with a decent contract and he has just got better and better.

“He is unselfish and will drop back into the number six role or into wide areas when needed. He’s got everything and he is definitely one to watch. Nuno went back in and would have thought: ‘What kind of player am I going to get?’

“What he has got is an unselfish player with flair, ability and dynamism. He has become the main man for them. I think that has helped him, but I think he has earned the right to be that. I’d look at him and say they need to keep him as long as they can because he is a real threat on the pitch.”

My View: Morgan Gibbs-White will play his role in Nottingham Forest relegation battle

In my opinion, Morgan Gibbs-White will play a big role for Nottingham Forest in their quest to avoid the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season.

Forest are in poor form at the moment and are in real danger of getting relegated from the Premier League.

The Reds are 17th in the Premier League table at the moment with 24 points from 26 matches, four points above Luton Town, who are third from bottom and have played 25 games.

Nuno’s side have lost three of their last six Premier League games and have to start winning matches. They will take on Liverpool this weekend and have been tipped to lose the game.

I think that Gibbs-White will play a big role for Forest in the final weeks and months of the season. His creativity and ability to score goals could prove crucial for the Reds.
