Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has been discussing why Nicolas Dominguez was taken off yesterday.
The boss was speaking with Nottinghamshire Live.
So, what did Espirito Santo say about Dominguez after a 1-0 defeat for Forest against Liverpool? Let’s take a closer look…
What Nuno Espirito Santo said about Forest midfielder Nicolas Dominguez
Well, it was an intriguing one that the Argentine was substituted during the game; with the player performing rather well during the contest.
As a result, Espirito Santo was quizzed on his decision to take him off during the game – and it might be good news.
Dominguez, 25, has been a quality player for Forest under the new head coach. Now, the hope will be that he can be fit for next Sunday.
After the game, Espirito Santo suggested that the player would be okay for next weekend.

He told Nottinghamshire Live: “He is OK, hopefully. He said he was getting tight. Hopefully, it is nothing serious.”
Forest need midfielder fit for the run-in
Since Espirito Santo came to the club, Forest have seemingly seen the best of Dominguez in the Garibaldi.
The Reds player has enjoyed a good run in the team under Espirito Santo and ultimately they need to keep him fit.
Picking up a bit of a niggle yesterday is probably down to the number of minutes he’s played of late for Forest.
Dominguez likely just had a little bit of fatigue. All being well he will be with the squad at Brighton next week.
The player cost Forest £8.5 million from Bologna and he’s settled nicely in the Premier League.
Forest needs to get a run of wins from somewhere and hopefully, Dominguez can shake off this problem quickly.
The Reds will fancy their chances against Brighton, with the Seagulls losing 3-0 to Fulham yesterday.
