Tony Cascarino has made a truly bizarre claim after Nottingham Forest were denied a point against Liverpool in injury time yesterday.
The pundit has been speaking to TalkSPORT about the incident.
So, what has Cascarino said about the major flash point in yesterday’s Forest game with Liverpool? Let’s take a closer look…
What Tony Cascarino said about incident involving Nottingham Forest
Well, it would appear that Cascarino doesn’t agree with every other pundit who has weighed into this debate.
Alan Shearer said on Match of the Day that he thought Forest had been hard done by – with Jermaine Jenas agreeing.
It will come as a shock to nobody that the pundit thinks Forest have gone way over the top.
The man who famously said Steve Cooper would be the first manager sacked last season seemingly doesn’t like Forest.

Cascarino had sympathy for the match official, Paul Tierney, and thought Forest went too far.
He told TalkSPORT: “Yes there’s an error, however, the reaction was over the top.
“I didn’t feel it was a shocking decision, it was an error and I feel it’s an innocent error by Paul Tierney, but the reaction to it was over the top.”
Cascarino won’t understand the situation at all
It’s easy for a neutral to say that Forest went over the top. However, this is another mistake that has gone gainst the Reds.
Cascarino can sit there all he wants and say it hasn’t really impacted the outcome but he just doesn’t understand.
For weeks now, Forest have been on the wrong end of some truly horrible decisions from supposedly elite match officials.
Forest are in danger of running out of room to store all of their apologies from the PGMOL and it simply isn’t good enough.
Tierney’s failure to recognise a clear fundamental law that has come into the game is incompetence of the highest order.
He shouldn’t be held accountable but instead, he will likely have a refereeing gig at another top club next weekend.
In our view, Forest must now use their bemusement at these decisions to garner a siege mentality and pull clear of the relegation zone.
