Jamie Carragher has spotted something that Callum Hudson-Odoi could have done better before Liverpool scored against Nottingham Forest.

Well, it was hardly going to be a fair discussion asking Carragher to try and concede that Liverpool got away with one against Forest.
He’s laid some of the blame for the situation that led to Darwin Nunez scoring a winner with Hudson-Odoi.
Forest were denied a valiant point when the Uruguayan nodded home late on following a glaring error from Paul Tierney.
Carragher believes Hudson-Odoi needed to be more savvy at the weekend after Tierney had stopped the game.
He told Monday Night Football: “When I go back to the Forest players and Nuno I look at Hudson-Odoi and Diaz.
“Now, Hudson-Odoi should make sure Diaz does not get that ball off him.
“The difference is Diaz is fighting for a title, he needs that ball. They may think it’s a foul but Hudson-Odoi, do not let Diaz have that ball.
“Look at him, he gets the ball and picks it up and he’s kicking back to the goalkeeper.”
Referee to blame, not Forest star Hudson-Odoi
Okay, the Reds could have cleared their lines a little bit better but let’s not beat around the bush here.
Referee, Tierney, is experienced to the point where he should know this basic and fundamental law.
Quite simply, it’s not good enough in the eyes of Forest.
Referees are making poor errors each and every week and it’s easy to see why teams around the bottom of the league are getting frustrated.
Hudson-Odoi was perhaps a little naive not to get hold of the ball but to blame him would be harsh.
Diaz tries to con the referee into thinking it’s the goalkeeper’s ball but the referee has to be concentrating.
Ultimately, Carragher was never really going to stick up for Forest and it’s no surprise he’s looked at the role played by Hudson-Odoi.
