Nottingham Forest-owned winger Josh Bowler was on form at the weekend as Cardiff City made it four straight wins in the Championship.

After the game, he was praised by the local media – and it would seem as though he’s coming into a bit of form.

So, what has been said about Bowler after the Forest man’s latest outing? Let’s take a closer look…

Media rave about Forest loanee Josh Bowler after another win

It’s been a very fruitful period for Cardiff and Bowler is seemingly starting to his straps a bit after leaving Forest on another loan.

Forest landed Bowler on transfer deadline day in August 2022 and loaned him immediately out to Olympiacos.

That move didn’t really work and he finished last season with Blackpool before joining Cardiff prior to the current campaign commencing.

On Saturday, he was in fine form and Wales Online raved about his performance for the Bluebirds.

They wrote: “Coming into a bit of form, Bowler. Linked up brilliantly with Turnbull and had two decent shots saved in the first half, one of which Ng was unfortunate not to turn in from the rebound.”

Will Bowler ever feature for the Reds

Well, this is a bit of a million-dollar question being totally honest and it’s likely to depend on what happens to the club this season.

If Forest remain in the Premier League, they will surely look to cash in on Bowler and cut their losses on the player.

However, if relegation becomes a reality, Bowler might be a player who could do a job for Forest back in the Championship.

Signing the 25-year-old did feel like a bit of a weird one but it appeared that he was a player that Steve Cooper liked.

This season, he’s been in and out of the Cardiff team but he has managed three goals and two assists across the campaign.

He’s hardly set the league alight this season at least Bowler is starting to hold down a regular place in the Cardiff team after his move from Forest.
