Colin Fray thinks he knows what Nuno Espirito Santo needs to do if Nottingham Forest are to beat Luton Town this weekend.

Well, it would appear as though Fray is no different to other Forest fans when it comes to what he wants to see on Saturday.

Forest haven’t score in three games in all competitions now and ultimately, Espirito Santo needs to go back to basics.

When he first came to the club, he oversaw big wins over Newcastle and Manchester United, with Fray keen to see a similar approach to the game on Saturday.

He told the Forest Focus podcast: “The Villa first half felt a bit similar against Brighton in the first half as well but in both games, they’ve improved in the second half and looked far more on the front foot.

“That’s how Nuno has typically taken to games during his time in charge; get at games and get on the front foot.

“That’s what they need to get back to and I think they can. Whether they will or not remains to be seen but they can. They’ve got the ability in the team.”

Espirito Santo has to get Forest firing on Saturday

It’s time for the ifs, buts and maybes to stop this weekend and Forest have to roll their sleeves up at Kenilworth Road at the weekend.

Forest can’t afford to let Luton win and overtake them in the Premier League – with a possible points deduction to be announced before the game.

The Reds must come out firing against Luton. Last night, the Hatters saw a 3-0 lead evaporate into thin air as Bournemouth roared back to win 4-3.

As a result, Luton’s confidence could be on the floor and Forest will have to take advantage of that situation.

Fray is right about Forest head coach Espirito Santo. His style of play in recent weeks has gone a little bit pragmatic and hopefully, Forest can come out firing this weekend.
