Former England goalkeeper David Seaman has provided his prediction for Saturday clash between Luton Town and Nottingham Forest.

A huge trip to Kenilworth Road awaits Nuno Espirito Santo and his player in what can only be classed as a relegation six-pointer.

It has not been easy going for the 50-year-old since he joined, but the game on Saturday is against a side who are also enduring their own struggles.

Ahead of the game on the weekend, Seaman has weighed in on who thinks will leave with all three points.

Seaman predicts Luton Town vs Nottingham Forest

The magnitude of this game cannot be denied with Forest currently sitting just three points ahead of Luton going into the game.

And it is Rob Edwards’ side who occupy 18th spot in the table, but three points for the hosts could well drag them out of the bottom three.

That would, of course, be at the expense of Forest who go into the game on the back of four consecutive defeats.

However, speaking on the Seaman Says podcast, the 60-year-old has backed Forest to leave victorious. He said: “I’m going to go for a 2-1 win, 2-1 Forest. I just feel Forest might [win]. It’s just a hunch.”

Tight at the bottom

The game on the weekend is unlikely to decide the fate of either side with a long way still to go in the season.

Of course, Forest will not want to go into the international break slumped in the bottom three.

But there will likely be plenty of twists and turns in the remaining months of the season beyond Saturday’s game in Luton.

The Hatters have already shown their weaknesses this week after capitulating against Bournemouth despite having a three-goal lead.

On top of the midweek disappointment, Forest will be going into the game on Saturday with fresher legs.

Neco Williams has recently claimed the Portuguese manager has his players on side, but they need to go and prove that on Saturday.

But is now time the Forest players let their actions do the talking.

They go into the game with the advantage of a few days extra rest over Luton, they now need to show they have the desire to win and help keep their side afloat.
