There has now been an update on the profit and sustainability situation involving Nottingham Forest.
It was The Athletic who provided the information.
So, what is the latest on a potential points deduction at Nottingham Forest? Let’s take a look…
Nottingham Forest points deduction update
Well – according to The Athletic – Nottingham Forest are expecting to hear the verdict of last week’s hearing on Monday.
The hearing took place across Thursday and Friday, with The Athletic adding that a decision was initially expected to arrive within seven days.

However, Nottingham Forest will not know the outcome of last week’s hearing until after Saturday’s crucial relegation six-pointer against Luton Town.
The Athletic add that Nottingham Forest’s potential punishment remains unclear, but the six points Everton had deducted for similar financial breaches are described as a possible sign of what could come.
An appeal can be made
If Nottingham Forest are found to be guilty of these financial breaches, those overseeing this matter at the City Ground can appeal the decision.
The deadline for an appeal is Monday 15th April.
Interestingly – if Nottingham Forest do choose to appeal any points deduction – the date for that review to be finalised will come on 24th May, according to The Athletic.
That is five days after the 2023/24 Premier League campaign comes to an end, so Nottingham Forest – and relegation rivals – may not even discover their fate on the season’s final day.

Everton are also still facing a second round of charges, so even if Nottingham Forest are slapped with a six-point deduction, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side could yet survive.
Nottingham Forest are currently 17th in the Premier League on 24 points – three ahead of Luton Town who sit 18th.
Currently, a six-point deduction would take Nuno’s side to 18th place on 18 points, but they would still be ahead of Burnley and Sheffield United, who only have 14 points each.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as anything could happen on Monday.
