Glenn Murray has raved about Nottingham Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White after yesterday’s 1-1 draw. The player registered another assist to take his goal contributions tally to nine for the campaign.

After the game, Murray made these comments on Match of the Day. The former Forest striker was blown away by Gibbs-White and felt that on another day, the Reds player should have been on the right side of a result.

What Glenn Murray has said about Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White

Well, it would appear as though the Forest player is extremely popular in the eyes of Murray. The pundit was seriously impressed as the Reds were held to a 1-1 draw by Luton.

Forest were denied all three points when Luke Berry scored late in the piece. Chris Wood had earlier put Forest into the lead after a quality pass from Gibbs-White.

Murray was giving analysis on last night’s episode of Match of the Day. It’s fair to say that he was very impressed with Forest star Gibbs-White during yesterday’s draw.

He said on Match of the Day: “I’m a big fan of his, he’s always positive, he gets on the half turn and makes a defence-splitting pass.

“He’s always looking to be progressive for the team, here he skins Mendi with a wonderful turn and he’s driving right at the heart of the Luton defence.

“This ball for Chris Wood is absolutely wonderful. He didn’t even have to look, he just puts it into an area and as a former striker, I can tell you, he makes Chris Wood’s job so easy. He’s become a really positive leader for Forest.”

Forest will hope star man can kick on this season

It’s fair to say that Forest will hope to see Gibbs-White really up the tempo during the final nine games of the campaign. So far, he has scored four goals and claimed nine assists during 2023/24.

Murray does make some good points, however. Gibbs-White is clearly the main man at Forest and his creativity is there for everyone to see.

Gibbs-White always works tirelessly when he’s out on the pitch and his quality is unrivalled in the Forest squad. Hopefully, he can step things up even more over the course of the next nine games.
