Jeff Stelling has been left absolutely stunned by something he’s heard live on TalkSPORT this morning involving Nottingham Forest.
The topic of conversation came when Alex Crook came on the show to discuss the charges that Forest are currently facing.
After the reporter detailed the ins and outs – and the appeal process – Stelling was left absolutely astounded by one aspect of proceedings.
What Jeff Stelling finds shocking about Nottingham Forest situation
Well, it would appear as though this situation is getting stranger by the second and one piece of news has left Stelling perplexed.
Forest will hope to find out their punishment as early as today. A points deduction looks likely, although it’s not guaranteed with each case different.

If Forest appeal, the outcome of that is unlikely to be announced until after the season finishes – something which Stelling thinks is completely wrong.
He said live on TalkSPORT: “It’s a mess, isn’t it? The fact that in the case of Forest, if they appeal, the outcome of that appeal will not be known until after the end of the season. How can that be allowed to happen?”
Premier League have a lot to answer for
In our view, the Premier League needs to take a long hard look at itself when it’s finished sorting out the mess they’ve created with Forest and Everton.
Manchester City still have 115 charges hanging over their head but for some strange reason, both Forest and Everton have had their points deductions fast-tracked.
The whole thing just stinks of hypocrisy. How can Everton and Forest get points whipped away so easily when one of the big six has broken so many more rules?
Stelling is right, the whole thing is just ridiculous and Forest will now be hoping to see some common sense prevail.
