A report has now explained when Nottingham Forest can expect to receive their punishment for breaching Profitability and Sustainability Regulations.

The Reds are facing a possible points deduction and Sky Sports have now tried to clear things up.

So, what have Sky Sports said about Forest – and when do they believe the club will discover their fate? Let’s take a closer look…

When Nottingham Forest will discover their FFP fate

Well, it would appear that a decision is expected extremely soon – with this week earmarked for the period when Forest will discover how their defence has been heard.

Sky Sports believes that it will be early this week when Forest discover their fate. Everton are also facing a second charge but their case won’t be heard until Forest have had their case settled.

Forest have argued that hanging fire for two months on the sale of Brennan Johnson is an example of the club respecting the profitability and sustainability side of things.

What is the state of play with Forest in the Premier League

Well, if the points deduction is any more than three, Forest will drop below the dotted line and into the relegation zone.

Three points would keep Forest above the line on goal difference and the hope will be that it’s no more than that amount.

Hopefully, Forest can have it nipped in the bud sooner rather than later, with the Reds winning just two games since all of this came to light.

The players wouldn’t admit as much but quite clearly it’s impacting the team on the pitch and in our view, it’s disgusting that the Premier League can do this during a season.

Hopefully, it will soon come to light what the punishment is – and Forest can focus completely on securing enough points to remain in the Premier League.
