Morgan Gibbs-White is the name on everyone’s lips at Nottingham Forest following his dominant display against Fulham. Now, David Prutton has added his name to an ever-growing list of admirers.

It was a quality performance from Forest against the Cottagers as everything seemed to click into place. Goals from Callum Hudson-Odoi, Chris Wood and Gibbs-White ensured a comprehensive victory.

It was the performance from the number 10 at Forest that left supporters mesmerised. Gibbs-White earned praise from Danny Murphy for his latest Forest showing and he really was the star of the show.

Now, Prutton has reacted to the performance of Gibbs-White and he’s noticed something about the Forest star that he really appreciates every single time he plays.

What David Prutton has said about Morgan Gibbs-White

There really are no more superlatives to keep describing Gibbs-White at the moment. He’s in fine form and he’s not level with Anthony Elanga on 12-goal contributions for the current campaign – with more hopefully to follow.

Prutton is a man who has a rapport with Forest supporters as a player. He came through the Forest youth ranks to play several times for the first team and would leave to enjoy a decent career playing Premier League football.

Now the main EFL anchor on Sky Sports, Prutton is a huge fan of Forest star Gibbs-White. The former Reds midfielder believes the way he played on Tuesday is how things should be the benchmark for the Reds superstar.

He told the Forest Focus podcast: “This incarnation of Morgan is clearly one that is very comfortable in the Premier League. He plays in a way that, not that I envy him, but I played in a way that was pure concentration and hard work whereas Morgan looks like it just flows out of him when he’s doing it in his best possible incarnation.

“Morgan is a joy to watch, isn’t he? He gets you on the edge of your seat and someone like Morgan plays in the way that you’d love to be able to play in a football match yourself. He’s the beating heart of the team.”

Forest have big challenge to keep hold of Gibbs-White

The Reds have a job to do in order to remain a Premier League club. As a result, Gibbs-White will be fully focused on that but there could be other things for him to consider in the summer when the transfer window opens.

Both West Ham and Tottenham are thought to be keen on signing Gibbs-White. Other clubs will likely emerge as suitors too – especially if he keeps playing the way he did against Fulham on Tuesday night.

With clubs interested in signing Gibbs-White it clearly shows that he’s doing something right. Furthermore, it perhaps also shows that Forest are signing the right type of players in the transfer market.

It’s going to be a fierce challenge for Forest to keep hold of Gibbs-White. The player looks tailor-made to be playing for a top Premier League club and hopefully surviving relegation can help the club’s case to keep hold of him.
