Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White has come in for some praise after the Reds defeated Fulham and now Kevin Campbell has delivered his verdict on the star man.
Forest were devastating for 45 minutes of Tuesday’s clash at the City Ground. Everything just seemed to go right for the Reds and on another night they might have gone in at half-time five or six to the good.
Goals from Callum Hudson-Odoi, Chris Wood and Gibbs-White ensured an emphatic first period. Indeed, it was the first time Forest have led a game 3-0 in the Premier League since they returned to the division in 2022.
Despite impressive performances across the board, it’s been the display put in by Forest star Gibbs-White that has got everyone purring. Now, Campbell has said his piece on the Reds’ number 10.

What Kevin Campbell said about Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White
Well, Campbell knows a thing or two about getting supporters out of their seats at the City Ground. The former striker served Forest with distinction before being sold to Trabzonspor against his wishes.
These days he’s a respected pundit and he was on Sky Sports News yesterday to discuss the Tuesday night games.
Forest were a hot topic given they ended a little run without a win by blowing Fulham away inside 45 minutes at the City Ground – with Gibbs-White instrumental.
Campbell was seriously impressed with the Forest man. He joined the group of pundits to rave about Gibbs-White and he believes the Reds’ home form will be huge.
He said on Sky Sports News: “Vital for Nottingham Forest. With all the things that have gone on in the background, they looked like they couldn’t buy a win. But, their home form is what’s going to keep them up and they absolutely ripped into Fulham for 45 minutes yesterday, they couldn’t handle them. Morgan Gibbs-White was the chief instigator and they put Fulham to the sword.”
Gibbs-White is going to the top
As Forest fans, we’re running out of superlatives for Gibbs-White. Danny Murphy said yesterday that he thinks Gibbs-White will play for a Champions League team and we have to agree with that point.
The 24-year-old is seriously special. He was called ‘extraordinary’ last season by Garth Crooks and we genuinely think Forest will face a fight to keep hold of Gibbs-White in the summer.
One challenge for the player is to replicate this level of performance on a regular basis. Don’t get us wrong, Gibbs-White is always good but this showing on Tuesday was just ridiculous.
Forest will fancy their chances of surviving this season and Gibbs-White is going to be key. So far this season he’s scored five goals and claimed seven assists which isn’t bad at all.
He’s now level with Anthony Elanga when it comes to goal contributions this season and together the pair will have a big say in whether or not the Reds survive.
West Ham and Tottenham have both been linked with Gibbs-White in the summer. However, it’s going to take an astronomical offer for Forest to even consider selling their prized asset at this rate.
