Howard Webb to announce how many penalties Forest should have had against Everton

It’s set to be announced by Howard Webb exactly how many penalties Nottingham Forest should have been given against Everton.

Forest were left shellshocked a couple of weeks ago when they travelled to Goodison Park.

The Reds went to town after the game, with a statement that drew criticism from Alan Shearer and Micah Richards among others.

Forest have had to draw a line underneath the incidents against Everton and try to move on from it.

However, had Forest taken something from that game things might now be different and the table would look a lot rosier.

Now, it’s been claimed that Webb will be making an announcement over how many errors the officials actually made when Forest met Everton.

Howard Webb to make announcement involving Nottingham Forest

Well, this will be absolutely no consolation to anybody of a Nottingham Forest persuasion.

According to the Daily Star, Webb is set to announce that Forest should have had one penalty at Goodison Park when the two teams met.

It’s believed that the head of the PGMOL will be making this announcement, but it’s suggested that the officials were right on the other two incidents.

Forest have already been granted permission to hear the audio from the officials during the 2-0 defeat.

Now, there will be a claim that Forest are going to be told they should have had a penalty during the game – and will likely receive another apology.

More accountability needed from Webb and the Premier League

Stuart Attwell and Anthony Taylor have both had more games since this debacle.

Will either of them be held accountable for their blunders in this game that could ultimately send Forest down? We think probably not!

It’s been beyond a joke this season when it comes to the decisions and Forest have frankly had enough.

Nobody is saying that referees should be sacked for daring to make a mistake – players make plenty after all.

However, there seems to be no accountability in the Premier League when it comes to referees and after this Forest debacle, it’s something for Webb to look at.
