Andrew Omobamidele and Anthony Elanga have raved about one Nottingham Forest star after yesterday’s 2-1 win over Burnley.
The win preserved Premier League football for Forest for another season and saw the team finish with 32 points.
Forest have had to contend with a four-point deduction and ultimately they’ve stayed in the top-flight at a canter.
Now, Forest can prepare for a third season in the Premier League and hopefully, things can be a little smoother next time around.
Following the game, Omobamidele and Elanga praised one star of the show from the Forest performance yesterday.

What Andrew Omobamidele and Anthony Elanga said about Chris Wood
The 32-year-old finished the campaign in style, scoring two goals as Forest raced into a 2-0 lead after just 14 minutes.
It took Wood just over 70 seconds to open the scoring against his former club and it’s been a wonderful campaign for him.
The player is out of contract this summer and now Forest must decide whether to offer their talisman a new contract or not.
After the game, Omobamidele reacted first to Wood’s post on Instagram and simply said: “Legend.”
Elanga paid tribute to Wood and gave him a nod towards how many times he’s laid on assists for him.
He said: “Six times this season.”
Forest have Wood conundrum
Okay, Wood is now 32 and Forest can’t pin their hat on him forever but surely, there are grounds for him to get an extension.
Wood was written off when he first came to the club but he returned fitter and stronger during 2023/24 and he’s done brilliantly well.

Forest have looked a better side when Wood has played and he’s richly deserved his 15 goals in all competitions.
There will be a conundrum over Wood though, with Forest having to cut their cloth accordingly with FFP still hovering over the club.
These comments appear to suggest that Wood is a leader in the Forest dressing room and hopefully, a compromise between the two parties can be reached.
