Some very strange news has emerged involving Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Reds appointed the Portuguese boss in December of last year when he was named as the man to replace Steve Cooper.
Espirito Santo achieved his goal by helping Forest remain in the Premier League for another campaign.
Now, the 50-year-old is on the shortlist at a top European club and Forest might be in danger of losing him this summer.

Nuno Espirito Santo on Bayern Munich shortlist
The above isn’t a sentence we felt we’d be writing any time soon.
Nothing against Espirito Santo but we didn’t think his work at Forest – or Tottenham – would be alerting a club like Bayern Munich.
It was claimed yesterday by Fabrizio Romano that Espirito Santo’s future isn’t certain at the City Ground – and now more news has come to light.
According to Bild, the manager has joined Newcastle boss Eddie Howe and Burnley incumbent Vincent Kompany on the shortlist at the Allianz Arena.
It’s claimed that Bayern are assessing their options and the Forest boss Espirito Santo is on their radar.
Thomas Tuchel won’t be in charge of Bayern next season and after a miserable – trophyless – campaign, they need to get their next appointment right.
Forest should try to keep head coach
It would be somewhat harsh if Espirito Santo is sent packing by Forest.
He has done a pretty good job having been dealt a bad hand at the City Ground and he should get the chance to put his own stamp on things.
However, perhaps the decision will be taken out of the hands of Forest.
If Bayern Munich are actually serious about appointing Espirito Santo, he would surely jump at the chance.
In our view, this feels as though the silly season has finally got into full swing and being on the Bayern shortlist will be as far as things go for Espirito Santo.
