Joe Lolley has now named the best manager he played under at Nottingham Forest aside from Steve Cooper.
The 31-year-old was answering questions from supporters during a Q&A session on Instagram.
So, who did Joe Lolley name as his favourite Nottingham Forest manager apart from Steve Cooper? Let’s take a look…
Joe Lolley praises Sabri Lamouchi
The man who made 171 appearances for Nottingham Forest opted to name Sabri Lamouchi as his favourite manager at the City Ground – apart from Cooper.
Lolley wrote on his temporary Instagram story: “Can’t look past Cooper for what he did and football we played but also really enjoyed Sabri Lamouchi and his belief in me.”

The Sydney FC No.10 made 47 appearances in total under the Frenchman – scoring ten goals while also providing nine assists.
No other Nottingham Forest manager handed Lolley more appearances than Lamouchi did – level with Aitor Karanka on 47 – so there was certainly a lot of mutual trust between the pair.
What the Frenchman has been up to since leaving Nottingham Forest
Lamouchi has held two roles since Evangelos Marinakis terminated his contract at Nottingham Forest in October 2020.
The man from Lyon first travelled to Qatar to manage Al-Duhail in the same month that he left the City Ground, but despite 21 wins in 36 outings, his contract was again terminated in August 2021.
Lamouchi then returned to the Championship to take over at Cardiff City in January 2023, eventually steering the Bluebirds clear of relegation to League One.
However, the 52-year-old’s contract was not extended, and he left Wales in the summer of 2023.

Whatever you think of Lamouchi’s time at Nottingham Forest, he was clearly respected by key players such as Lolley, and the situation was hardly ideal for him as Marinakis told Joao Carvalho and Albert Adomah they could leave without consulting the Frenchman first, according to The Athletic.
