Nottingham Forest have been relatively quiet by their standards in the transfer market so far.

The Reds have signed Elliot Anderson from Newcastle, whilst Marko Stamenic has signed for the club but joined Olympiacos on loan.

Another player who the Reds have taken a chance on is Eric da Silva Moreira – and his signing has been met with some intrigue.

Forest landed the versatile player from St Pauli where he hadn’t made a single appearance for the first-team ranks.

Some speculation suggested he’d be part of the B-Team in the first instance – but it felt odd that he was given the new signing treatment by the media team at the club.

Now, a further hint might have come to light that the Germany under-17 World Cup winner will play a part in the squad.

Footage appears to reveal Eric da Silva Moreira squad number

With the players returning to pre-season training on Monday, it feels closer now before the domestic football returns.

Forest will be excited to get back on the pitch having scraped to survival last season with very little to spare.

In a video shared on the club’s official YouTube channel, Moreira has been spotted being put through a number of tests.

He was seen wearing a training kit with the number 17 on and was being introduced to the other members of the Forest dressing room.

Moreira seemed happy to be at the club and now it feels as though he might get a chance to show what he can do out on the grass.
