Nottingham Forest are now preparing for their third consecutive campaign in the Premier League this summer.
There has been some significant changes made at the City Ground following their promotion back in 2022.
Forest no longer have Steve Cooper at the helm with Nuno Espirito Santo now the man in the dugout.
And the summer of 2022 saw 21 players arrive at the club as Evangelos Marinakis oversaw a major overhaul of the squad.
However, there was one player who rejected the possibility of playing for Forest that very summer.
Two years on, he has now found himself putting pen to paper on a deal with a Championship side.

Midfielder who rejected Forest move lands Championship move
Since making their return to the big time, Forest have established themselves as a Premier League club with some of the signings they have made.
Of course, last season saw Nuno’s side avoid the drop narrowly but there will be a confidence there is enough quality in the squad for the upcoming campaign to see some improvement.
The likes of Morgan Gibbs-White and Murillo mark players who have the quality to take Forest forward this season away from the drop zone.
There is one player who could have made the move to the City Ground who must now be regretting his decision.
On Thursday, it was announced that midfielder Joe Rothwell had just made the move on loan to Leeds United.
Back in 2022, Forest had shown a real interest in signing the midfielder from Blackburn Rovers.
However, he decided to make the move to Bournemouth who have also been able to hold their status in the Premier League over recent years.
But his time on the south coast has not exactly gone to plan as he now finds himself back in the second tier looking for more regular game time.
Joe Rothwell may be rueing his decision to snub Forest
Having snubbed Forest for the Cherries, Rothwell really struggled to establish himself in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old has made 35 appearances for Bournemouth across all competitions over the last two years where he has been able to provide one goal and one assist.
However, that does not cover the full story as he has also been loaned out to Southampton earlier this season on a short-term deal – where Russell Martin did hail him ‘amazing‘.
But it seems the midfielder is relishing the challenge with Leeds as he spoke of his enthusiasm to the club’s media team.
“It’s unbelievable, as soon as I heard of the interest, it was something I was desperate to make happen and thankfully we’ve managed to do it quite quickly, so I can’t wait to get going now,” he said.
