Nottingham Forest may be about to sign Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina but their summer transfer business is far from finished yet.
La Viola defender Milenkovic is due for a medical at Forest and he will swap Serie A for the Premier League in a deal worth around £12 million.
Last night it was claimed that Forest want to sign Alexis Saelemaekers from AC Milan and clearly Nuno Espirito Santo still thinks there are gaps in the squad.
One area that could be in need of addressing by Forest is in their attack and a new striker perhaps wouldn’t go amiss.
Chris Wood did score 15 goals in all competitions last season but he’s now 32, whilst Taiwo Awoniyi spent much of last season injured.
As a result, it’s perhaps no surprise that the latest player linked with a move to Forest happens to be a striker.

Nottingham Forest reignite interest in Chuba Akpom
This is perhaps a little bit of a surprise but it does feel as though Forest are keen on landing the Ajax striker this summer.
Forest were linked with the Nigeria striker back in January but the club left it too late on transfer deadline day to strike a deal.
According to All Nigeria Soccer, the Reds are hoping to land the player who came through the youth ranks at Arsenal before the season starts.
Akpom joined Ajax from Middlesbrough last summer but often found starts hard to come by in the Eredivisie.
The 28-year-old played managed to score 15 goals in all competitions last season which was pretty impressive considering he started just nine times.
At Boro, he scored 34 goals in 82 appearances and earned praise from Don Goodman who called him ‘remarkable’ during one of his purple patches.
Akpom would have to prove himself to Forest fan base
Amid some very good business that appears to be getting done this summer, Akpom’s arrival might be deemed somewhat underwhelming.
At 28, he’s in his prime and that means there won’t be a deal of resale value in any transfer that Forest looks to complete.
Furthermore, he’s scored goals abroad and in the Championship but he’s never had the experience of scoring goals regularly in the Premier League.
As a youngster, Forest had Akpom on loan for a short while but he failed to find the net in seven appearances for the club.
Clearly, he’s developed a lot since then but if he does check in on Trentside he would definitely have to prove he’s got what it takes to score consistently in the Premier League.
