Nottingham Forest-supporting commentator Colin Fray has shared which player on the club’s books he thinks is rather unique.
The Reds narrowly avoided relegation back to the Championship last season, guaranteeing their survival with a 2-1 win over Burnley on the final day.
It was a pretty nervy season for Forest as they endured a rotten run with VAR decisions and also parted with Steve Cooper in December.
Still, there were some positive performances over the course of the campaign with some seriously impressive young talent on display at the City Ground.
Now, when looking ahead to the new campaign, Colin Fray has shared which player he hopes to see more of during the 2024/25 campaign.

Colin Fray picks one Nottingham Forest player he loves to watch
Being honest, Fray isn’t the first person who watches Forest week after week to single out Murillo for praise.
The Brazilian defender is valued at £70 million by Forest and he’s had a host of clubs chasing his services this summer.
For a while, it seemed as though Forest might have to sell Murillo to meet the PSR threshold but instead, the club managed to sell Moussa Niakhate.
Now, Fray has claimed what he’d love to see happen with Murillo as he prepares for his first full season on Trentside.
The commentator told the Forest Focus podcast: “I’d love to think that Forest fans – and myself – are going to get another season of Murillo because, you know, he’s not infallible, he’s a young defender still and Forest with him at the back don’t keep as many clean sheets as I’m sure he’d like them to.
“But, I’d love to see him continue to develop and he’s just a joy and you never know what’s going to happen. So many times Forest were in trouble and he’d just stick on the afterburners and get into position to make a block, a tackle, clear one off the line or whatever it might be.
“He’s a joy to watch as a defender and given due respect to the profession, there are not many defenders that make you think that, that makes you excited to see that he’s in the team. Hopefully, Forest can keep him as the deadline approaches.”
Forest under zero pressure to sell Murillo
Surely, Fray will get his wish. With Forest having met the PSR requirements, there will be no pressure to sell and it’s highly unlikely anyone will bid £70 million.
As the commentator says, Murillo is far from perfect at this stage of his career and it’s paramount that he continues playing regular football.
Forest will give the South American the chance to do that and the club’s chances of a good season will be considerably higher with Murillo still at the club.
The Reds signed the left-footed star for just over £10 million and it’s quite remarkable how much his stock has risen on Trentside.
Now, the fan base – and Fray – will have everything crossed that he can remain at the City Ground for a little while longer.
