Nottingham Forest beat Millwall 2-1 in a pre-season friendly last night with the Reds showcasing their Premier League intent.
The Lions didn’t really have much of an idea other than to try and kick the Forest team into oblivion during this 90-minute run-out.
Forest won courtesy of goals from Chris Wood and Callum Hudson-Odoi, with the two players picking up where they left off last season.
For Nuno Espirito Santo it was a good chance to take a look at his whole squad once more at the Pinatar Arena in Spain.
Sarah Clapson – the Nottinghamshire Live Forest correspondent – was also on hand and she spotted a particularly good performance.

Sarah Clapson impressed with Nottingham Forest youngster
Eric da Silva Moreira arrived at the City Ground as a bit of an unknown quantity but that might not be the case for long.
The teenager signed from St Pauli was given a big interview and announcement when he was signed and that suggested he might go into the first-team.
Now, he’s with the senior squad out in Spain and last night he had another chance to shine at right-back – and he didn’t disappoint!
In her Nottinghamshire Live piece, Clapson was impressed and said: “Looks to have the makings of a real talent. Forest could have a gem on their hands. He put some nice crosses in and tried his luck in front of the goal before the break.”
Moreira has featured in all three of the pre-season games so far and now it feels as though he will stay with the first-team rather than link up with the B-Team.
Moreira will provide healthy competition
As decent as Neco Williams was last season, his position is hardly cemented at the City Ground.
The Welsh performer does often get caught out in behind and as a young player, he too has imperfections that he needs to iron out.
With that in mind, Moreira could have a good chance of getting some game time during the 2024/25 campaign.
The German under-17 World Cup winner looks like a player with vast potential and it feels already like the club have made an exciting summer signing.
