Nottingham Forest are going into the first international break of the 2024/25 campaign with an unbeaten record in the Premier League.

However, yesterday was more frustration for the Reds on home soil as the team secured a second successive 1-1 draw.

Wolves were the visitors this time and after shipping six against Chelsea last week, they did respond in a tidy fashion against the Reds.

Forest scored through Chris Wood but Wolves equalised almost immediately when Jean-Richer Bellegarde scored a screamer.

After the game, the analysis was based upon Forest scoring first and once again throwing away a lead on home soil.

Michael Dawson analyses draw for Nottingham Forest

The Reds under Nuno Espirito Santo do look to be heading in the right direction and yesterday was a fair result.

Okay, it was frustrating that the team managed to take an early lead and throw it away but there was no fault in place for Wolves’ goal which proved nothing less than a worldie.

Dawson has shared how he thinks Forest are feeling behind the scenes with Espirito Santo now in place at the football club.

He told Sky Sports News: “Yet again when they take the lead, they have conceded again. And I think going away to Southampton last week was a well-deserved win and the positive was they took the lead and they kept it.

“But I think yeah, there is positivity around the place and Nuno, five points on the board, they will be delighted with that from three games, but when they take the lead in two of those, certainly at home, you have thrown points away. He will certainly be looking at that.”

Forest can build on impressive start to Premier League campaign

It would have been nice for Forest to have won both of their home games but ultimately the team has been forced to settle for two points from two games.

Both games represent the type of games that might have been lost last season though and that is at least a positive.

Forest won’t want to make a habit of not winning at home and the next home game against Fulham will represent another winable game.

Dawson is right to suggest that the positivity is strong around the City Ground and it does feel as though everyone is pulling in the right direction.

Forest have to keep working hard to try and get points on the board in the Premier League and hopefully, more points can be secured after the international break.
