Nottingham Forest placed emphasis on looking after the future in the summer with several players signed either in their prime or not yet having reached it.
The likes of Nikola Milenkovic, Alex Moreno and Jota Silva have been signed with the intention of making an immediate impact on the team.
Elliot Anderson has been added for some Premier League experience and he’s made an amazing start to life at the City Ground.
Elsewhere, the likes of Eric da Silva Moreira, Carlos Miguel and Ramon Sosa have been signed with one eye perhaps on the future.
A host of these players have been away on international duty over the last fortnight and it’s always nice to see Forest players sparkle whilst playing for their respective countries.

Eric da Silva Moreira shines during international outing
The Germany under-19 international was a bit of a surprise signing in the summer when he swapped St Pauli for Trentside.
From the outset, it looked as though he’d perhaps be one for the B-Team in the first instance but instead, he’s been around the first team.
Moreira hasn’t played any Premier League football just yet but he did play in the Carabao Cup against Newcastle and looked good.
Now, the player has made the step up to play for the Germany under-19 outfit and last night he got a closer look at the England team at his age group.
Germany defeated England 3-2 with Moreira enjoying an eventful 12 minutes on the pitch.
He was subbed on in the 78th minute and just five minutes later assisted the winning goal for Cologne player Said El Mala.
Forest defender Moreira was clearly keen to be involved and in injury time he picked up a yellow card too.
Moreira can enjoy bright future at Forest
It will be fascinating to see what role Moreira plays with Forest this season – with the full-back areas now very well stocked.
Ola Aina and Neco Williams are the options at right-back, with Alex Moreno and Harry Toffolo competing for the left-back spot.
Nuno Espirito Santo has a wealth of talent at Forest in those areas and that makes it difficult to see where Moreira will play his football this season.
However, at 18, he has bags of time on his side and he looks like a player who can star at Forest in years to come.
Moreira looks useful at both ends of the pitch and if he has to drop into the B-Team to get some football under his belt this season then so be it.
Clearly, he’s a talented boy and hopefully he can become a first-team regular at Forest in the future.
