For Nuno Espirito Santo he has a Nottingham Forest dilemma starring him in the face for the Premier League clash with Fulham this weekend.

The Reds will face the Cottagers without the influential Morgan Gibbs-White following his sending-off in the 2-2 draw against Brighton.

Gibbs-White was sent off for a second yellow card and could face a further ban if found guilty of improper conduct.

In the short term, Forest must find a quick fix for their influential player this weekend and a number of players will be in the running to play.

Ramon Sosa scored his maiden goal for Forest at Brighton, with Jota Silva teeing up his teammate to equalise for the Reds.

Elsewhere, Evangelos Marinakis pushed for Elliot Anderson to sign in the summer as he thinks he could be a long-term Gibbs-White replacement.

But, when it comes to discussing who should play this Saturday, supporters are in no doubt as to which player should be getting the nod.

Nottingham Forest fans pick who should replace Morgan Gibbs-White

The Reds were dogged and determined in the second half against Brighton and that was largely down to the introduction of Silva from the bench.

He’s been a really good signing since checking in from Vitoria during the summer and he looks capable of proving himself a quality Premier League addition.

Forest fans are in no doubt as to who should play this weekend with Gibbs-White suspended and Silva is the name on everyone’s lips.

Another fan wrote on X: “I would play him as a starter every day of the week but he is also a very good impact sub, so many decisions. He can play basically any forward role well.”

Another Silva fan was also desperate to see him play and thinks he’d be a like-for-like for Gibbs-White, saying: “Yes, get him in and in the 10.”

Finally, another fan said: “I’d like to see him start too, but right now I am 100% behind any call that NES makes. Silva’s trajectory is only going one way.”

Silva deserves Premier League start with Gibbs-White suspended

It’s been a solid start to life in England for Silva who arrived as a somewhat surprising signing during the summer.

He scored during his first start for the club against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup and has looked decent whenever he’s played from the bench.

Silva was always going to have to work hard for a chance to impress from the start at Forest, with the player signing as a winger.

However, he has shown that he can play through the middle and perhaps that is where Espirito Santo can utilise him on Saturday against Fulham.

Silva is now knocking down the head coach’s door and it will be fascinating to see what he does decide to do this weekend.
