Nottingham Forest had a really bittersweet afternoon at Old Trafford against Manchester United during the 2023/24 campaign.
The Reds were 2-0 up inside three minutes at the Theatre of Dreams to leave the home faithful stunned into silence.
However, things didn’t last and Forest ended up losing 3-2, with Joe Worrall sent off and the club nursing more VAR hurt.
Forest did get their own back later in the season, with a 2-1 secured over the Red Devils in December.
On that day at Old Trafford, however, Forest gave a good account of themselves despite eventually losing the game.
Brennan Johnson made one of his final appearances for the Reds that day and yesterday he made some headlines during another trip to Old Trafford.

Brennan Johnson goes behind Nottingham Forest after early Tottenham goal vs Man United
The talented Wales international has really started to fire at Tottenham in recent weeks.
After a barrage of abuse from his own supporters, the Tottenham man decided to deactivate his social media accounts to combat the criticism.
He’s now scored in four successive games for Spurs and yesterday’s goal saw him go underneath Forest in terms of quickest goals scored by visiting teams at Old Trafford.
Forest broke the deadlock last season after just 88 seconds when Johnson teed up Taiwo Awoniyi to run from inside his own half and score beyond Andre Onana.
Yesterday, Johnson turned from provider to scorer as he finished off some great running from Micky van de Ven to fire Tottenham ahead after 155 seconds.
Naturally, the Forest fan base were buzzing for the academy graduate on social media and it is nice to see him proving Tottenham fans wrong somewhat.
Johnson produced a Man of the Match performance yesterday, scoring and setting another up as Spurs thrashed United 3-0 on their own patch.

It’s hard to fathom that Johnson is getting stick from Tottenham fans. That said, however, he doesn’t have the luxury of being one of their own in North London.
Last season he did pretty well under Ange Postecoglou, scoring five goals and claiming 10 assists during his maiden season at Spurs.
Admittedly, that’s almost the same amount of goal contributions as Anthony Elanga managed last season and unfortunately for Johnson, he cost more than three times as much.
Johnson is capable though. Forest fans know that from his time at the City Ground and with time and regular football he could become even better at Tottenham.
As he’s not a hometown boy at Spurs he will have to be at it all the time and any moments of lapse will be pounced upon by the fans.
Forest fans know how good he’s capable of becoming though and it looks set to be an exciting season for Johnson at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
