Levi Colwill has a love-hate relationship with Nottingham Forest for reasons that will probably haunt him forever.

It was Colwill who diverted a James Garner cross into the Wembley net to send Forest into the Premier League for the first time in 23 years.

He was then in the Brighton team that lost 3-1 to Forest during the 2022/23 campaign with Taiwo Awoniyi giving him a really tough night.

On Sunday, he was in action for Chelsea as Forest put their unbeaten away record on the line at Stamford Bridge.

He was once again in the thick of things and couldn’t prevent Chris Wood from poking Forest ahead in the 49th minute.

Things got a little bit spicy as the game progressed and Neco Williams got up close and personal with Colwill as the game wore on.

Williams was introduced in place of Alex Moreno after he had to settle for a place on the bench once again.

The Wales international put himself about during his time on the pitch and he was unlucky not to win the day for Forest late in the game.

After the 1-1 draw, Williams posted on Instagram and used an intriguing picture of him squaring up to Chelsea defender Colwill.

It’s not certain why he chose to use that picture but clearly, he felt that he was putting himself about during his cameo performance.

Colwill might just be getting sick of Forest and clearly, Williams touched a nerve with the central defender.

Elanga was another substitute during the game with Chelsea, coming on against the team who he scored the winner against last season.

After Williams posted on Instagram, he posted ‘My partner’ suggesting that the pair struck up well together during their time on the pitch.

Elanga has struggled to truly get going during 2024/25 and it’s not going to be productive for him coming off the bench each week.

Forest have much better strength in depth this season and having players like Elanga and Williams from the bench will serve the club well this season.
