Alan Shearer is one of the most well known former players and pundits in English football, and he’s now given his prediction for Nottingham Forest against Crystal Palace.
Nottingham Forest head into Monday’s game having lost just once in the Premier League this season, which came against Fulham at the City Ground.
The partnership of Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo has been transformational for the Reds’ defence, helping them form one of the best defences in the top-flight.
However, it has come at a cost as Murillo is attracting interest from Chelsea, and Newcastle is eyeing Milenkovic for a potential move.
Milenkovic only joined for £12 million in the summer transfer window, yet he’s already worked his way into the heart of Nuno Espirito Santo and the fans.
Looking forward, Alan Shearer has now given his prediction for Monday’s clash between Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.

Alan Shearer’s prediction for Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace
Oliver Glasner’s side currently sit in the bottom three with one point from their opening seven games, but that isn’t a total reflection on their season so far.
Eberechi Eze is yet to really catch fire for Palace after Michael Olise’s departure in the summer. However, on his day he can cause even the best of defenders problems, so Murillo and Milenkovic may have their work cut out.
Alan Shearer’s prediction is something that Forest fans will be pleased to hear, and he even gives a shoutout to Chris Wood.
Speaking to the Metro, Shearer believes it will be a win for the Reds.
“Crystal Palace have been a little bit disappointing in terms of their results and haven’t looked great in defensive situations. Losing Joachim Andersen and the noise around Marc Guehi and Newcastle can’t have helped.
I fancy Nottingham Forest to win this game with the form they’re in. Chris Wood is scoring goals again and with home advantage here, they might have too much for Palace at this moment in time.”
Nottingham Forest’s home record this season
Nottingham Forest are yet to even win a game at home this season in the Premier League.
Their current record stands at zero wins, two draws and one loss at home, compared to two wins, two wins and two draws away from home.
This is a complete shock to the system as last season, the City Ground was slightly better than the away form, with five wins and nine losses in comparison to four wins and 11 losses.
However, Forest did get unlucky against Fulham with the Anthony Elanga penalty decision that could have seen the Reds pick up at least a point.
