Nottingham Forest made a number of big signings during the summer transfer window, but one of them has already been rated as a total flop.
Nuno Espirito Santo has already turned the likes of Nikola Milenkovic and Elliot Anderson into heroes at the City Ground in a short space of time.
Milenkovic is already attracting interest from Newcastle United, and Anderson put in his best performance in an England shirt in the international break just gone.
Nottingham Forest sit tenth in the table after seven games with just one loss to their name and one of the best defensive records in the Premier League.
It’s important that Forest don’t let the off field incidents involving the FA affect things, as they have the opportunity to really push on and challenge for Europe.
However, one thing that hasn’t gone to plan for Forest this season is one signing in particular.
One Nottingham Forest player makes the list of the top 10 worst signings of the summer
There’s always bound to be bad signings in transfer windows, but no one would have expected one player to have as little influence as he has this season.
Nottingham Forest signed James Ward-Prowse on loan with no obligation or option to buy, and they’ll be slightly thankful that’s how it is at the moment.

Interestingly, Italian outlet Tuto Juve have compiled a list of the ten worst signings of the summer transfer window in England, and James Ward-Prowse featured at number eight.
Here’s the full list.
1. Matthijs de Ligt (Manchester United)
2. Joao Felix (Chelsea)
3. Eddie Nketiah (Crystal Palace)
4. Joshua Zirkzee (Manchester United)
5. Kalvin Phillips (Ipswich Town)
6. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (Chelsea)
7. Niclas Fullkrug (West Ham)
8. James Ward-Prowse (Nottingham Forest)
9. Ben Brereton (Southampton)
10. Sander Berge (Fulham)
James Ward-Prowse’s season so far at Nottingham Forest
Many fans would have had high hopes for James Ward-Prowse after his brilliant start to life at West Ham United, and knowing what he pulled off at Southampton.
However, it’s not quite gone to plan in his six appearances in all competitions for the Reds.
Ward-Prowse was sent off against Chelsea for a blatant second yellow card, but many fans put the blame on Nuno not taking him off the pitch.
There have been a couple of errors from Ward-Prowse that have put doubts in some peoples minds at Nottingham Forest, and you would like him to have more influence in the final third.
But we don’t think that Ward-Prowse has necessarily been awful, but there are improvements to be made.
