Nottingham Forest defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 at the City Ground last night to climb the Premier League table.
Chris Wood scored the only goal of the game to take his tally to five strikes from eight games across the current campaign.
After the game, Wood was praised by Ally McCoist and the centre-forward is a man currently showcasing fine form.
Forest did ride their luck at times during the game against Palace and Reds stopper Matz Sels made seven quality saves.
There were a number of strong performances from a Forest perspective though and a host of players can hold their head high.
This was a strong team performance against a team boasting a number of quality players and Forest now sit eighth in the Premier League.

Adrian Durham wowed by one Nottingham Forest player
Alan Smith praised Elliot Anderson for his efforts in the Garibaldi last night – and Adrian Durham has joined the fan club.
Anderson was given a chance in the number 10 position with Morgan Gibbs-White injured and suspended for the game against Palace.
He grasped the chance with both hands and after the game, TalkSPORT anchor Adrian Durham raved about Anderson on X.
He said: “Elliot Anderson was a joy to watch tonight. Terrific footballer.”
Anderson has chance to shine as a number 10 at Forest
With Gibbs-White currently injured, perhaps last night’s showing from Anderson basically ensures the club doesn’t need to Irish him back.
Leicester await on Friday night and Forest will know that a win can see the team climb to fifth in the Premier League table.
Anderson might be the man to continue in the number 10 role as Forest look to give Gibbs-White as much recovery time as possible.
The 21-year-old was seriously impressive against Palace and he’s showcased that he’s got the attributes to cover for Gibbs-White.
Anderson has already played a lot of football for Forest in a number of different positions.
On last night’s showing, however, perhaps he’s showcased that he’s tailor-made to play as a number 10 and all of a sudden, Nuno Espirito Santo might have another selection conundrum to crack.
