Nottingham Forest secured yet another win over Steve Cooper and Leicester City, which resulted in Gary Neville making an exciting prediction.

A European spot looks very much achievable at this moment in time for Nottingham Forest, but there are a lot of difficult games coming up.

Newcastle United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are all coming up over the next six games in the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo has been tactically sound no matter the opposition this season, with his decision to try and play with the ball high up the field against Liverpool working wonders.

These are the games where Chris Wood‘s prolific finishing ability will need to come into play once again, as there likely won’t be as many chances on offer against the likes of City and Arsenal.

Nevertheless, speaking after the Nottingham Forest vs Leicester City clash, Gary Neville predicted where he thinks the Reds will finish.

Gary Neville makes Nottingham Forest prediction

Gary Neville spoke kindly about Elliot Anderson before the game, stating that Nottingham Forest have a ‘hell of a player’ in their ranks.

And it didn’t stop there as he made his prediction on where Forest will finish after being left impressed by their performance against Leicester.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Gary Neville believes that the Reds will get a top half finish this season.

“I thought at times they didn’t carry themselves particularly well last season, and obviously at times, they’ve been punished for that. But that’s all behind them now, they can enjoy themselves.

“We were all excited when Nottingham Forest came up to the Premier League, because it’s one of the clubs that has informed our childhoods, it’s been a great club.

“The fact they’re having a good time is fantastic. Look, they’re fifth. That may be as good as it gets, but they’re definitely gonna be in the sort of top half of the table, around mid-table which is where they should be.”

The sky is the limit for Nottingham Forest

A tough run of fixtures won’t mean anything to Nuno Espirito Santo and his players, as they’ve already beaten arguably the best side in the Premier League this season in Liverpool.

Nottingham Forest have the players at their disposal to cause any team problems.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga have the pace and power to kickstart counterattacks, with Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson linking up the play, and lastly Chris Wood finishing things off.

And, with the second-best defensive record in the top flight, it’s not easy for teams to breach the formidable partnership of Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic.
