Nottingham Forest are playing some of the best football fans have seen in years in the Premier League, and one player in particular contributed to that against Leicester.
Chris Wood was the star of the show once against for Forest as he came up with the goods when it matters, with his brace securing all three points.
Many fans would’ve been worried after Morgan Gibbs-White suffered his injury against Chelsea, but things couldn’t have gone much better in the two games he’s missed.
The midfielder should hopefully be back for the West Ham United clash, but nothing is certain and Nuno won’t be rushing him back if he’s not ready.
There’s one player who has really shone in his absence, and Nottingham Forest fans have been quick to praise him after another positive display against Leicester.
Nicolas Dominguez’s performance in numbers against Leicester
Nicolas Dominguez joined Forest in September of last year and has really come to life in his performances in the current campaign.
The South American has been called upon to partner Ryan Yates in the middle of midfield after Gibbs-White’s injury with Elliot Anderson pushing further up, and he’s not disappointed.
He put in another impressive display against Leicester on Friday night. The midfielder had 54 touches, a passing accuracy of 93%, completed three of his four long balls, won three ground duels, made two clearances, three interceptions and two tackles.
It’s gone from Dominguez not always being guaranteed a start to now possibly keeping Gibbs-White out of the side.
