Nottingham Forest made some quality signings during the summer transfer window and now the club is benefitting from it.
The Reds added 11 new players with two of them – David Carmo and Marko Stamenic – joining Olympiacos on loan for the campaign.
Forest highlighted the need for defensive options after last season when the club was nearly relegated from the Premier League.
Nikola Milenkovic has been a brilliant signing, receiving praise from Henry Winter for his recent performances against Chelsea.
Elsewhere, Alex Moreno was a fist-pumping purist after a 3-1 win over Leicester on Friday and he’s added balance to the defensive unit.
Another quality addition to the ranks has been Elliot Anderson and Gary Neville felt he was one of the best Forest players during the latest win.
He’s gaining new admirers with each passing week and he’s stepped into the Morgan Gibbs-White void with aplomb.

Lewis McGugan shares why he really likes Forest star Elliot Anderson
The midfielder signed for Forest from Newcastle for £35 million during the summer transfer window for a fee that seemed somewhat high.
However, this was a PSR gymnastics situation and Odysseas Vlachodimos went in the opposite direction for £20 million to offset the difference.
McGugan knows what it means to play for Forest as a central midfielder or as a number 10 and he’s been a huge fan of Anderson since his arrival on Trentside.
He told the Forest Focus podcast: “The big thing I’d like to just touch on from before the first goal is (Elliot) Anderson.
“I have been a big, big fan of Anderson and I look at him and watch him play and I think the excitement comes from the fact that he’s just a bit of old-school.
“When he gets the ball in a central area, his main thought is how can I impact this game? How quick can I get to that goal, individually or can I set a teammate up?
“I think it’s so refreshing to see, we’re watching an era where you have a lot of players who play quite safe and we have a lot of players who focus more on trying to assist.
“He’s got that bit of old-school where he just wants to try and commit people and makes things happen.”
Anderson can star at Forest for years to come
The 21-year-old must already be rubbing his hands together after swapping his boyhood club Newcastle for Forest in the summer.
He’s playing regular football, has starred for the England under-21 ranks and Anderson is reportedly on the cusp of an England call-up too.
Anderson has grasped the chance to play as a number 10 in the absence of Morgan Gibbs-White and he’s growing with every appearance he makes.
Newcastle must be absolutely kicking themselves that they allowed Anderson to leave for a Premier League rival.
Their loss is very much to the gain of Forest and it looks as though Forest have secured a very exciting player for the future.
